Whitehouse press secretary Scott McLellan had to be restrained by Secret Service agents today during a press conference. McLellan lunged into the Whitehouse press corps seats after a series of heated questions regarding the complicity of Karl Rove in the Valerie Plame scandal, hitting reporters on the forehead, and shouting "You have been healed by the Power of Freedom!" Earlier in the press conference, McLellan had defended Bush administration policies by stating that "The ideology, the power, of freedom would overcome the peoples of the Middle East who will know independence and peace after the war on terror has swept hatred from their lands." Maggie Malone, reporter for News on the Left and one of the victims of McLellan's rampage stated, "I don't know about freedom, but I have one hell of a headache," while being escorted out by medical staff.
