Letter sent to Rep. Diana DeGette (R-CO) in support of H.R. 5557:
I am one of the many Americans who believe that the way that we treat our animal population is reflective of how we treat our human population.
Our nation's government should become a leader in animal welfare by requiring producers who want to supply products for federal agencies to meet the modest animal welfare standards in H.R. 5557 (room for farm animals to move around and adequate food, water, and veterinary care).
I would like you, as my Representative, to represent me by co-sponsoring the Farm Animal Stewardship Purchasing Act. Thank you.
